When was the last time you got away from it all' You know, headed out to the wild and took a breath of fresh air. We all need that escape from the urban jungle or suburbia. I would guess that back in the day, folks didn't need many supplies when venturing out into the wilderness. It probably came down to a blanket, a canteen, a knife, and the clothes they were wearing. Of course this was probably centuries ago. These days we like to camp in style. Sure, we want to ruff it, but only to a certain level. Items such as a camping lantern can truly better our situation. And since these things are at our constant disposal, we're probably going to take advantage of them. I recall all of my camping experiences as a kid. I loved to head out into the woods for a few nights of peace and serenity. All I needed was a few matches, my knife, sleeping bag, and a good camping lantern. I called it the bare necessities. It was great to let the fire burn, while I stretched my sleeping bag out next to it. Sleeping under the stars was simply incomparable.
